The One With The Soakaway - In A Small Space

We cater to all needs with our septic tanks and soakaways, and when we were contacted by a new customer who needed a soakaway, we found ourselves with a project where we had to fit a suitable sized soakaway for the customer, into a rather tiny space.

Siting of the soakaway was needed in front of a standard single garage, on a driveway that would continue to be used for parking and access to the garage.

We're always happy to work with our customers to provide an outcome they are satisfied with, and to make sure any job we undertake is one that is safe, of quality, and will last the duration.

Starting The Project

Our first goal with this mini sized project was to remove tarmac, aggregate, soil and rock, to make a space deep enough, long enough and wide enough to accommodate a soakaway that would meet the customer's needs.

We had to be mindful to make this happen without causing damage to the neighbouring drive and garage. That's no mean feat when you're working with large pieces of machinery in a very small space.

Making The Soakaway Work

We created a trench that was sizeable enough to site the equipment needed this project.

All pipework, drainage and drain covers were connected to the soakaways, before we infilled around space around the trench, and then re-surfaced the drive to complete another quality project.

The customer now has a safe, fully functioning soakaway situated beneath their drive, and the drive can still be used as normal for vehicle parking and access to the garage.
